EZWheel reinvente la roue

Une roue, banale. Quarante centimètres de diamètre, un gros pneu boudin. Mais au milieu, une jante pleine, étanche, protégée des regards et des coups. Cette roue-là avance toute seule. Pas de câble, pas de système d’entraînement, juste une télécommande qui intègre batteries, moteur, alternateur, carte électronique. Elle développe 300 watts. Elle peut tracter un chariot d’une tonne sur un sol plat et lisse, 200 kilos sur un chantier de travaux publics, à la vitesse de 6 km/h.

Florian Gardes, Antoine Juan et Jérôme Pénigaud, trois jeunes ingénieurs qui ont juste dépassé la trentaine, ont réinventé la roue.

Les 24 et 25 octobre dans le cadre d’un salon professionnel, InterMécatronic, ez-Wheel, missionné par la communauté d’agglomération d’Angoulême et associé à une entreprise de mécanique locale, présentera une nouvelle déclinaison de sa roue pour vélo électrique. « C’est un modèle robuste, original et de fabrication 100 % française. Pour l’instant le prototype que nous préparons est destiné au marché des collectivités », précise Antoine Juan. Angoulême est une ville plantée sur un éperon rocheux. Elle n’est pas la seule. Il est impossible d’y envisager un système de Vélib’classique.
