La montre ZENITH de Baumgartner

Arborant au poignet le tout nouveau chronographe El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th, Felix Baumgartner, ambassadeur Zenith, a repoussé les limites de la résistance humaine fixées il y a plus de 50 ans et s’est élancé d’une capsule suspendue à un ballon dans la stratosphère à plus de 39 kilomètres d’altitude.

 

Felix Baumgartner est devenu l’homme qui a battu le record d’altitude (en ballon) et l’homme qui a franchi le mur du son sans assistance mécanique [encore que cet exploit soit scientifiquement contesté], en même temps que l’homme qui a effectué le plus magnifique saut en parachute de l’histoire [sans toutefois battre le record du durée d’une chute libre : il est allé trop vite dans les premiers kilomètres].

Avec son chronographe Zenith Stratos, Felix Baumgartner fait de la manufacture la « marque la plus haute du monde » [hors engins spatiaux] en même temps que « la plus rapide du monde » (1 350 km/h avec un simple casque !).

Je ne suis pas sûr qu’il ait eu le temps de regarder sa montre pendant sa chute en pensant « Jusqu’ici tout va bien ».
