Facebook nouveau design nouveaux bugs

Vous avez certainement remarqué que Facebook a changé de design. La nouvelle page se présente avec des onglets : Wall Infos Photos Boxes.

La nouvelle version est déployée progressivement pour tous les utilisateurs pendant les semaines qui viennent. Mais pour les impatients qui ne souhaitent pas attendre, il leur est possible d’accéder à ce nouveau design via l’url www.new.facebook.com.

Sur la nouvelle version on retrouve sur le premier onglet, les dernières actualités concernant le réseau de l’utilisateur et les fonctionnalités de mise à jour simplifiées. Les applications sont désormais sur l’onglet Boxes.

Mais attention si vous insérez une nouvelle application, vous devrez donner votre aval avant que quoi que ce soit puisse être ajouté à votre profil. Donc si vous ne voyez pas la nouvelle application, c’est que vous devez la valider. Facebook veut bloquer ainsi certaines sociétés qui pratiquaient le spam.

Avec le nouveau design, FB propose une nouvelle API. Malheureusement celle-ci est buggée. Attention donc aux développeurs, qui devront modifier le fichier facebook.php de cette nouvelle API:

modifier la ligne : return ‘http://’ . $subdomain . ‘.facebook.com’; par ‘new.facebook.com’

Les anciennes applications utilisant l’ancienne API ne fonctionneront plus avec la nouvelle. Il faudra s’attendre donc à diverses ratées sur les applications anciennes. Facebook n’a malheureusement pas prévenu la communauté des développeurs qui fait pourtant sa force.

Pour visualiser votre application et régler sa configuration, il faut aller dans « Applications » puis dans la page de l’application et ensuite de nouveau sur « Applications » et configurer puis sur l’onglet Profile et enfin cliquer sur ajouter. Bref c’est un peu galère et je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit une bonne idée de la part de FB.
